Okay, so this is one of those Facebook things doing the rounds. The rules of the Five Day Black and White Challenge are as follows:
For five days I’m posting a black and white photo and nominating another photographer to join along each day I post. The rules are: post one B&W photo per day for the next five days, using the hashtag and tagging one new person each of those five days to continue the challenge. #FiveDayBlackAndWhiteChallenge
Day 3: I call this ‘Senior Academic With Book’. The handsome gent in the photo is the one and only Mr Aunty Muriel, sometimes known as ‘Dr B’. Dr B has enjoyed starring roles in many other posts on this blog, mostly against his will.
Day 4: This photo wasn’t originally taken in black and white, but I edited the image in PicMonkey. I’m quite pleased with the way it came out. It’s a picture of a well-cared-for Sunbeam in the village of Cornillon, and I suppose the photo works in black and white because it’s an image of a vintage car parked in a village where nothing much has changed for about a century, so there’s nothing that looks out of place.
Day 5: Taken in TOB2, the music practice rooms at the University of Reading, this photo features Hannah and Eleanor from the Double Reed Choir. You can read more about the Choir here.
Many thanks to both for allowing me to use this image!
