Today the weather was beautiful, a genuinely hot summer’s day for the first day of June, and Mr Aunty Muriel and I drove out to Wiltshire to have a look at a field, which turned out to be a meadow, where we saw lots of lovely wild flowers. I took some photographs with the camera on my phone and I’ve displayed them in the image gallery below. I hope I’ve labelled the flowers correctly. If I haven’t, please let me know.
After looking at the lovely flowers, we drove to Malmesbury to look at the lovely abbey there, where we saw some lovely medieval books decorated with medieval paint made with stale urine and earwax (among other ingredients). Then we ate some ice-cream. I fell asleep on the drive home. Over dinner, I wasted almost fifteen minutes trying to explain the plot of Star Wars to Mr Aunty Muriel, but I gave up when he asked ‘So which one’s Darth Vader’s father again?’
It was a really lovely day. Apart from when I got bitten by a wood ant. I didn’t like that part.
